Terms of service.

1. Usage License

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to download, install, and use OgreBill on devices you own, strictly in accordance with these terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app or any part of it, except where permitted by applicable law.

2. Your Data & Responsibility

OgreBill stores invoices, clients, expenses and settings in a local database on your iPhone. Some optional actions use the App Store, your local network, or a destination you select. Keep backups of records you need to retain.

• The developer is not liable for data loss due to device failure, theft, loss, operating system updates, or app uninstallation.
• Use the built-in backup feature regularly and store backups in a safe location.
• Exported files (PDF, Excel) are your responsibility once saved or shared.

3. Premium Subscriptions

• OgreBill offers optional premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions via the Apple App Store.
• Payment is charged to your store account at the time of purchase confirmation.
• Price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and any introductory offer are shown by Apple before purchase and are governed by the terms displayed there.
• Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account settings.
• Apple handles billing and refund requests under its current App Store policies.

3A. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded OgreBill from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

If there is any conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, Apple's terms apply only to the extent required for App Store distribution.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use OgreBill only for lawful purposes. You will not use the app to:

• Generate fraudulent, misleading, or illegal invoices or documents.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

OgreBill is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal validity of invoices, reports, or tax calculations generated by the app.
• OgreBill is not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, or tax advice. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters.
• We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components.
• Country profiles, invoice templates, tax labels, and field configurations are provided as convenience features and do not constitute legal, tax, or accounting advice.
• OgreBill does not guarantee that invoices generated using any country profile satisfy the legal requirements of any jurisdiction.
• You are solely responsible for verifying that your invoices meet the applicable legal and tax requirements for your business and jurisdiction.

5A. Country Profiles

OgreBill provides optional country profile templates that apply region-specific formatting, fields, and labels to invoices.

These profiles are based on publicly available government guidance and are reviewed periodically, but may not reflect the most current regulations.

Enabling a country profile does not create a representation of legal compliance with that country's invoicing laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the app.

In no event shall OgreBill or its developer be liable for any penalties, fines, tax assessments, or losses arising from reliance on the app's country profiles, tax calculations, or invoice formatting.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

7. Intellectual Property

The OgreBill name, logo, and all app content (excluding user-generated data) are the intellectual property of the developer. All rights are reserved.

Open-source libraries used by OgreBill are governed by their respective licences, which can be viewed within the app under Settings → About → Open-Source Licenses.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the app.

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the competent courts of the developer's jurisdiction.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of OgreBill after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
