In brief: If you choose to download an on-device Coach model, the download request goes to the model host. Store transactions are handled by Apple or Google, and sharing sends only the files you choose through the system share tools.
1. Information in the app
OgreSleep stores the information needed for its features in the app’s local database and device preferences. This can include sleep sessions, alarms, meal and caffeine logs, evening check-ins, mood and energy entries, dream or journal text, an optional profile photo, alarm sounds you record or pick, settings, and local purchase-entitlement state.
The app does not require you to create an OgreSleep account. This policy describes information handled by the app; it does not cover platform-level device backups or services you choose when sharing or syncing files.
2. HealthKit and Health Connect
If you choose to connect Apple Health or Health Connect, OgreSleep requests read access to selected activity summaries: steps, resting heart rate and active energy. OgreSleep does not write data to those health platforms. Read summaries are saved in the app locally for its records and insights.
You can manage or revoke access in your device’s health or app permission settings. The health platform and operating-system provider handle their own collection and storage.
3. Other device permissions
OgreSleep asks for a permission only for the feature that needs it, and you can change each one in your device settings.
- Alarms and notifications: to schedule the alarms and reminders you create.
- Microphone and speech recognition: for voice input with the Coach, dictating meal names and recording custom alarm sounds. The microphone is used only while you use these features, and speech recognition runs on your device where available.
- Camera and photo library: only when you choose to take or pick a profile photo. Photos stay on your device.
4. Optional model download
OgreSleep can download an optional model for its on-device Coach. The download starts when you choose a model in the app. Downloads currently come from Hugging Face. As with any web request, that host can receive technical connection information such as your IP address and request details.
After download, Coach processing uses the model stored on your device. The model download request does not include your sleep records or Coach conversation. Model availability and the download host may change; the app’s current download screen shows the available choices.
5. Purchases and store services
If you view, buy, restore or manage an in-app purchase, the Apple App Store or Google Play handles the transaction and account details under its terms and privacy policy. OgreSleep stores local purchase state so it can apply the store’s entitlement. Ogre Labs does not receive your payment-card details from the app.
Current prices, billing periods, renewal and any offer are shown by the relevant store before confirmation. Those details can vary by region and change over time.
6. Exports, backups and links
When you export or share a report or backup, the system file picker or share sheet sends the file and destination you select. The receiving app or service then handles it under its own terms. Keep in mind that exported records may include personal or health-related information.
When you tap an external support, privacy, store or rating link, the destination receives a request from your device. The destination’s operator handles that request under its own policy.
7. Diagnostics and advertising
OgreSleep does not include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. App network activity is described above. This notice is reviewed when app features or data flows change.
8. Your choices and deletion
You can review and delete information in the app’s settings. Use its data deletion control to remove records from the app; deletion does not remove copies already exported, shared or included in a device backup. You can remove an optional downloaded model from its app settings.
You can decline or revoke Health access and use the app without downloading a Coach model. Store account data and payment records are managed with the store.
